Trade Stand Debut at the Border Union Show!

It has been a whirlwind summer here at Bleak Ridge! Between packing orders, expanding our workwear line, and catching up with customers across the UK, we’ve barely had a moment to catch our breath—and we wouldn't have it any other way.

The absolute highlight of our season so far? Setting up our very first official trade stand at the prestigious Border Union Show in Kelso!

For a long time, we’ve loved sharing our heavy-duty workwear online, but nothing beats meeting the folk who actually wear our shirts day in, day out. We spent a fantastic couple of days chatting with farmers, tradespeople, and outdoor enthusiasts who came by to say hello, check out our range, and feel the heavy-grade quality of our fabrics for themselves.

The response to our 100% cotton work shirts blew us away. Visitors loved being able to try on different sizes, test out the heavy twill fabric, and get a feel for the relaxed, movement-friendly fit that makes our shirts built for real work. Seeing people walk away wearing their new Bleak Ridge kit—ready for the field, farm, or yard—made all the preparation worthwhile.

As the summer winds down, we’re taking all that energy and feedback straight back into our workshop. A huge thank you to everyone who stopped by our stand at Kelso to support a growing independent brand.
